Ultimate Uluru Holiday terms and conditions
By entering the Ultimate Uluru Holiday competition (competition), you acknowledge that you have read these terms and conditions and that you agree to be bound by them. Information on how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions.
This competition is being run by Australia Pacific Airports (Melbourne) Pty Ltd ABN 62 076 999 114 of APAM Management Office, Terminal 4, Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine, Victoria 3043 (Promoter), in partnership with Virgin Australia Airlines Pty Ltd (Virgin) and Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia Pty Ltd (Voyages) (collectively, the Partners).

WHO CAN ENTER?
To be eligible to enter the competition you must:
Employees, directors or officers of the Promoter or the Partners, any companies or agencies associated with this competition, or their immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
HOW TO ENTER
The competition period commences at 7:00am AEST on 14th May 2024 and ends at 4:00pm AEST on 28th May 2024 (competition period), and the Promoter reserves the right to extend the competition end date at any time (subject to regulatory approval).
To enter the competition, you must visit our website https://promo.melbourneairport.com.au/virgin-uluru/ and enter your details during the competition period.
No late entries will be accepted. Incomplete or incoherent entries will be invalid.
A limit of one entry to the competition per person applies.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, employer, residency status/location and transaction value) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with the entry process. In the event a winning entrant cannot provide proof of eligibility to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.
PRIZE
The prize is described below and valued at $5,047 as at the publishing date of these terms and conditions. The total prize value is $5,047.
The prize consists of:
If the winner resides in Tasmania, two return economy tickets to Melbourne from the nearest Tasmanian airport where Virgin Australia operates will also be included.
All travel must be completed by 6 June 2025 and cannot be extended.
The winner and their travel companion must travel at the same time (departing from and returning to the same Australian domestic port serviced by Virgin). The winner’s travel companion must be 18 years or over.
The prize cannot be redeemed during the following blackout periods:

The Flights are subject to Virgin’s Conditions of Carriage, and other relevant policies, which are located on the Virgin website at www.virginaustralia.com. The Flights are subject to Virgin’s Choice fare rules which can be found here. Please refer to these rules for information about changing or cancelling your flight booking.
To redeem the Flights, the winner will be provided with a flight voucher that can be used to book flights to/from Melbourne. Travel periods apply as references on the flight certificate. All travel must be booked within 12 months of the winner being notified that they have won the prize.
The Flights are subject to booking and flight availability and cannot be guaranteed during peak periods including but not limited to the Christmas period, school holidays or special event periods.
If for any reason the winner is unable to take the Flight and is not entitled to a refund or credit under the relevant fare rules or the Australian Consumer Law, that portion of the Prize will be forfeited.
The Flights will not earn Velocity Points.
Daily buffet breakfast excludes barista coffee and specialised tea. Accommodation and Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner bookings must be made in advance with Voyages and are subject to availability at the time of booking. A government issued photographic identification will be requested upon check-in at Ayers Rock Resort for ID verification purposes. A credit card authorisation must also be provided upon check-in. This authorisation may be used to cover incidental charges including (without limitation) telephone charges, mini bar charges, room service charges, security bond or deposit for any breakages, damage or cleaning charges in excess of the normal level of cleaning incurred during your stay. Please note that Ayers Rock Resort no longer accepts cash as a form of payment.
Voyages makes every effort to operate the Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner as advertised. However, itineraries may need to be changed at short notice due to weather conditions, accessibility issues or other events beyond Voyages' control. If Voyages is unable to provide this due to events beyond Voyages' control, Voyages will offer you the choice of rebooking the same Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner for another day or an alternative Wintjiri Wiru product that is equivalent to the advertised itinerary of the Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner. By booking and participating in the Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner, you and any person included in the booking agree to comply with all local laws and customs (including those of cultural significance) that are informed of by Voyages.
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you also agree to comply with the Guest Conduct Policy which is available at https://www.ayersrockresort.com.au/terms-and-conditions/guest-conduct.
Bookings for items 2-5 of the Prize can be requested via email at sales@voyages.com.au, Monday - Friday between 09.00 - 17.00 AEST. All bookings need to be made at least 14 days prior to travel. If you need to make changes to your booking, you must notify Voyages at least:
Additional spending money, meals (other than those included in the Prize), entertainment, taxes (other than GST), insurance, vaccinations, transport to and from departure point, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included. Travel Insurance is not included in the Prize and we strongly recommend it is taken by the winner before travel.
If for any reason the winner does not travel (or redeem any part of the Prize) after making a booking, then the Prize (or that element of the Prize) will be forfeited.
The Prize will not be transferable to another person and cannot be sold. No part of a Prize is exchangeable or redeemable for cash or any other Prize.
If a Prize is not available for any reason, the Promoter and the Partners reserve the right to substitute the Prize with another item of equal or greater value if the winner agrees in writing and subject to any approvals from regulatory authorities. If the winner does not agree despite reasonable attempts by the Promoter and the Partners to reach an agreement and the Prize is not available due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter and the Partners may substitute the Prize with another item or items determined by the Promoter to be of equal or higher value.
SELECTION OF WINNER
The winner will be chosen by random draw which will take place at 5:00pm AEST on 28th May 2024 at Melbourne Airport.
The first valid entry drawn will win the Prize as described below.
The winner/s will be personally notified and the name of the winner/s will be published on https://promo.melbourneairport.com.au/virgin-uluru/.
The results of the draw will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the results of the draw. This is a game of chance.
The Promoter must distribute the Prize to the winner within 28 days of the draw.
SECOND CHANCE DRAW
If a winner does not respond within a week of being notified that they have won the competition, that winner is not readily identified and reasonable efforts have been made by the Promoter to identify the winner were unsuccessful, they will automatically forfeit the Prize and the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner through a second chance draw.
If necessary, a second chance draw will be held on 4th June 2024 at the same time and place as the first draw. The first valid entry drawn will win the Prize.
The winner/s will be personally notified and the name of the winner/s will be published on https://promo.melbourneairport.com.au/virgin-uluru/.
The results of any second chance draw will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the results of the draw.
The Promoter must distribute the Prize to the winner within 28 days of the draw.
PROMOTION AND MARKETING
By entering the competition, the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activity and material, all editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed, filmed for broadcast and photographed, as the Promoter may require without remuneration. The winner agrees to grant the Promoter and the Partners a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use any such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winner/s (and their companion) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
Each winner also consents to the use and publication of their name, image and any other details provided by the winner in any marketing material without any further reference or payment to the winner.
STANDARD TERMS
The Promoter reserves the right to amend the competition and its terms and conditions at any time and for any reason, subject to regulatory approval, and will notify entrants of any such amendments as soon as reasonably practicable.
In the case of an intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Promotion on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism and pandemics, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Promotion and recommence it from the start on the same conditions at a time suitable to the Promoter, subject to any written direction given under State Regulation.
Nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports limit, exclude or modify the Promoter's liability in relation to the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) (Schedule 2 of the Consumer and Competition Act 2010 (Cth)) (Non-Excludable Guarantees Liability).
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees Liability, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition including:
To the extent permitted by law including the ACL, if the competition is not capable of running as planned including by reason of technical failure, fraud or any cause beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter may cancel or suspend the competition or invalidate any affected entries, subject to regulatory approval.

The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, collect personal information through the competition and use and disclose the information to conduct the promotion and for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages to the entrant and any other purpose set out in the Promoter's privacy policy. Entrants should direct any request to opt out, access, update or correct information to the Promoter. Personal information collected through the competition includes first name, last name, contact phone number, email address, postcode and date of birth. The Promoter may disclose personal information to subsidiary and related companies, third parties or regulatory bodies, including but not limited to agents, contractors and service providers for the purposes set out in this clause.
The entrants consent to the Promoter disclosing the entrants’ personal information collected by the Promoter through the competition to the Partners in connection with the competition and for the Partners’ promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages to the entrant and any other purpose set out in the Partners’ privacy policy , and the entrants consent to receiving such electronic messages from the Partners. Please read the Partners’ privacy policy available on the Partners’ website at https://www.voyages.com.au/privacy-policy and https://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/about-us/policies/privacy/ which tells you how the Partners may use any personal information disclosed to them. If an Entrant wishes to withdraw their consent for the use and disclosure of their Personal Information by the Partners for the purposes outlined in this clause, they may do so by contacting the Partners in the ways set out in the Partners’ privacy policy.
By participating in this competition, entrants release and hold harmless Facebook and Instagram from any and all liability associated with this competition. The Promoter and entrants acknowledge that this competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. Entrants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter and not to Facebook or Instagram.
The Promoter is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings, including fringe benefits tax. Independent financial advice should be sought.
The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter reasonably believes has breached any of these terms and conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this competition. Any entrant disqualified under this clause is prohibited from any further participation in the competition. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
The laws of Victoria apply to this competition. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the laws of Victoria.
